Icon2 1993 Honda Civic dx running very rough, zero power?

hey, i have a 1993 honda civic 4 door 5spd. it has about 350,000kms or 218,000miles. it ran great, check the gas and top up the oil kind of car.... i went over a large speed bump and the exhaust system fell off from the resonator back. the cat is still on the car. it was blowing alot of black stuff and lots of blue. then one day i was driving up a large hill then lost all power, i had to gear down to 1st to climb the hill then it stalled. it runs very rough at about 350rpm and has zero power. any suggestions? i know my way around a ford very well, but honda is not me, thanks!

i have heard it could be the cat? i remember hearing the cat can clog up and cause the motor to "choke out".

a cat could cause excessive back pressure if clogged.

try this, take off the cat and drive the car with just the headers on. its going to be very loud, but see if you gain your power back

That's a quick and easy and CAN happen overnight if a sudden jolt (say a speed bump, for instance) demolishes what was left inside it completely blocking it. Take it off, see if you have more power.

If there's no difference...blue smoke generally indicates burning oil, could have blown some rings..given the mileage it wouldn't be surprising but going over a speed bump? That's surprising.

Power loss, blue smoke, and 218K miles might also be a good reason to compression test the cylinders.

In addition, have you inspected the plugs, cap, and rotor? Any CEL codes?

as soon as the snow melts or i get the courage to work on it it's gonna have to wait. the motor looks fine, plugs cap and rotor are normal,

the speed bump knocked the exhaust system from the resonator back off the car, (it was already rusty) and i just took it off the hangers and threw it away so i have been driving it with no muffler for about 6 months.

as far as any CODES, there is no check engine or oil lights on,

if the rings are shot i'm not into taking the motor apart and fixing it, too much rust and dents so i'll just give it too the wrecker

i'll take the cat off and run it, and get back to you guys.

Thanks
