Default 1993 Civic DX d15b7 motor question[s]

I will try and make this as straight forward as possible.

My car (1993 honda civic DX d15b7 4spd automatic) needs a new motor and transmission....i've had no luck with junk yards in my area and am down to shopping online

It is currently an automatic, and I would like to keep it that way to save the headache of having to convert it to a 5 speed.

I am looking at getting something along the lines of this

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30021

and my question is simple, would I be able to hook up an automatic transmission to this motor? If so which one?

is there any problems I may incur trying to do this?

Side note: can anyone suggest me any other sites to check out for Honda Motors, D or B series, like I said I prefer auto just because it would save alot of extra work.

Thanks.

The extra work to get it drivable is really minimal if you get a complete swap with a MT. The HM swaps generally come with the proper ECU, linkage and mounts. If it doesn't, i'll bet bet they'll help you out if you tell them what you are interested in.

im pretty positive that any d series will bolt up to any d series i think just has to do with gear ratio and pretty sure you can use your old tranny if nothing is wrong with it. I have a d16z6 that has been rebuilt and have the shop receipt has 0 miles has about every bolt on you can think of and yes it is v-tec

They are a pretty good place to buy from but overpriced imo.

Yes I think you would be able to buy a different d series and just hook it up to your tranny but if your going for a vtec motor from an ex you should find an ex tranny to match the ratios

Just wondering.. Will my current engine/ tranny mounts work with the JDM D15B?

How about the exhaust manifold? I read somewhere that the manifold it ships with won't marry up with the stock exhaust?

If I were to get new engine and transmission mounts, where would be the best place to buy them? I have no need for upgraded performance mounts, trying to stay within a budget.. also don't want pieces of crap aftermarket ones either... any help is greatly appreciated.
