1992 honda civic b18c swap
This is what i did today, my 92 civic originally had a b18c1 obd1 engine in it, when the motor started to burn oil I bought (cause i always wanted a type r) a 99 b18c type r motor obd2 from a right hand drive part out. a friend helped with the swap. we converted the engine harness distributor and injectors from the gsr motor, and we were able to get the car running and driving, but it won't start without holding down the throttle, no chk engine light. once idling its very rough and below 1000. the motor revs up easy though and no misfire just not as smooth until the check engine light comes on, then the engine runs real smooth and above 1000, and the light never shuts off it does this every time I start it hot or cold. before i start to break in the new clutch and go to the dyno to tune it i want to deal with this bug that has plagued this swap I tried different ecu, changed map sensor, tried different distributors including the one that came with the type r motor with a conversion harness, and no matter what i did the car had the same symptoms once daylight was gone i gave up and here i am. Is there anything else that i may have overlooked

For starters your idle should be below 1000 at operating temp. And are you saying that the check engine light only comes on when you get it above 1000 rpm. Did you try and pull the code because that should have been the first thing you did before you even made this post.
