Default 1992 honda civic

Hello the distributor cap is making a grinding noise. Does anyone have any ideas? You can feel the vibration. And is the car safe to drive.

very possible the bearings in the dizzy are going... I would get that checked asap. They dizzy in hondas has a nasty habit of seizing and causing the t/belt to jump. Get it checked. A way for you to look is, pop the cap off and look for a red dust, if you see any at all, the bearings are f*cked.

What he said. My Civic did the same thing with the exception of the timing belt skipping. I wouldn't drive it because you run the risk of it shitting on you while driving. Mine went out during a downshift in front of a semi.
