$1000 for a 1980 Civic? Seems expensive for such an old car with so many miles.

Dood, if you have 2000 to spend then start looking at http://www.craigslist.org.
Drive your *** up to the bay area and buy something otherwise just wait!
If you are patient then you will find something good, please trust me on this!
I am very impatient when it comes to something I want. After I blew $2000 on a 92 VX that needs a new engine & tranny, I found 3 92-94 VX's between $1800 and $2200 in great condition.
So like I said, just wait it out and something will come along.

Are you nuts-- 1000$ US??? u must be out of your mind.. it doesnt matter what condition its in-- The fact of the matter is that the car is 1980--- 23 years old.. as far as i know that car should be given away for not more than 100$ That seller is smoking some serious crack.

Hmmm, I just realized he's from Beverly Hills. Don't they like paying overprice there? But also don't rule out your local paper. I've seen some good deals in mine at times.
