i think the oem size is 195/50/15....but im not positive. 195/50/15 would be perfect for si wheels, thats what i ran for a while with no problems...loved it

195/50/r15 would work okay. I have a 99 Civic Sedan w/ Si rims on 195/50/R15 and I love it. OEM is 195/55/R15. 50r15's are a little lower profile then 55r15's and there is a noticable fender gap. I think it looks OK on my car. But a drop would certainly make it look better.

get 205's if you can... they are a lil wider, increase handeling and braking... and look cooler... but i had 195's on my si's back in the day, some hankooks ... they were fine...

The width depends on how low your car is. 205s are cool, but I rub and scrape on bumps and driveways with 205. I find 195s the perfect size for my ride height. With camber adjustment, 205s wont fit, and they rest (sorta) on the wheel well or rear fendor.

yea. my buddy has 205/50/15's on his si wheels. and there dunlop dz101's, so they do hang over the rim a bit but IMO it looks cool and the car handles better with the tire setup.

X2 wider=more traction and looks better as well. i have them on ls mesh wheels same size as si

true! my 60mph is really 57. 55 series tires will be more ideal and won't throw your speedo off.

Yessir!

The nuvi 360 gps shows that I am about 5 miles off. At 70MPH (cluster), the gps reports that I am going 65MPH, but I never compared it with any other series tire.

If you want to go to a 50 series tire from the stock (Si) 195/55/15 size, you have to go to a 205/50/15. A 195/50/15 has a smaller overall diameter than the stock size tire so your spedo will show you going faster than what you actually are. Some people don't care about that but to me, if you do it for any length of time you're odometer will show more mileage on the car than is actually on it. That sucks when trying to sell it.

my DC2s speedometer is supposedly ~1mph off because of the switch from 195/55/15 to 205/50/15. its not a big enough difference for me not to get a better tire size.

The faster you go the greater the speedometer error. It might be 1 mph at say 40mph but if it's 3-5 mph at 60-65mph, that adds up... Yours shouldn't be off at all running 205/50/15 since that is the same overall diameter as the stock size.

i would run 195 55 r 15....i have this on my 2000 si which has stock wheels and they ride beautifully. I also use this car as my daily driver if that is any use

Lame I know, but I found the equation for if you decide to use 195 50 R15 tires. It's X/1.0349. So just take how many miles you've driven and divide by 1.0349 and you'll get how many you've actually done. So if I drove 260 miles, I've really only driven 251.2 miles. Just write down the mileage of when you put on the new tires and you'll always know what your true mileage is by using this handy little equation.
