134 ac problems.
ok i have searched the forums and have found good info on how to charge and maintain my ac system but it is not what is wrong with my ac. so i have a 94 civic with 134 and a gsr with the del sol adapter for it. i have tried to recharge it with no avail. i have noticed that when i turn my ac on it wont engage my compressor and the fan wont come on either. out of curiosity i swapped my relays and pow they came on. but then after some time they would go of again .i dont have any guages to see what my pressures are on my high and low side. but anyways i took it to the shop and had them do whatever to it to get it to work and it did for a while my ac wasnt ice cold like i would want it to be but it sufficed. well i drove away and used my ac and with it on my car would surge in power for lack of a better word. it didnt just draw power like a smooth draw but i could notice it pull more power at certain rpms it just felt like my brakes would get applied at a certain rpm then let go.but i was like whatever. i drove to the theater parked and watched a movie then came out and pow no ac......i drove it for a bit and then stopped popped my hood and nothing was on, neither my fan or compressor. so is this an electrical problem or another problem. ne more info that is needed just ask.........94 civic with gsr 134 freon. also has anyone used that envirosafe freon and if so how did it work??

Re: 134 ac problems.
Problem 1:
Your system may be overcharged with refrigerant. Rent a manifold gauge set from an auto parts store.
Problem 2:
Check whether fuse 13 or 35 is blown. Also check the A/C thermostat and whether grounding the Blu/Red wire at the thermostat causes the condenser fan to run and the compressor clutch to engage.
