One of my freinds told me one day to look on ebay for this "chip" that is supposed to make your car faster. He told me he put one in his car and made a big diff. So i bought one for ten bucks on ebay. The guy i bought off of said what it did was made the ecu think that the intake temp was a cold 42 degrees and average gain was 5-20hp!! To my surprise it was just a resistor. it said to put it on intake temp sensor plug. I put it on thinking it wouldn't do much,I got in my eg and was shocked at the difference it made. that little thing made more of a difference than my short ram+exhaust put together. I told all my friends and all had the same reaction. so i am spreading the word. if u r interested in getting one just go to ebay and type in "20hp".

So its faking the ECU into thinking the engine is sucking cold air, but in fact you could be sucking really warm air and running the car really rich.. ofcourse the OEM setting is as fuel economic as possible not 100% towards power, but I can hardly conceive that its GOOD for your car to run that damn rich.. Its cheap, but limited, granted?

I still won't believe it until I see a video of someone on the dyno, then a shot of whp they made. Then they have to tape themselves installing it. Then they have to get back on the dyno with a shot of the intake with the "chip" in it, then the whp they make. And I need a note from their mother telling me they are not lying.

How does this work anyway? What would faking the temp of the intake do?? I mean I could understand if you do it for real cause the colder the air the more 02 the bigger the bang right? So what would faking it do? Add more fuel? So you are just running rich is that it?? I don't get it.

they called it the "timing advance resistor"? is there even such thing as that or is it suppose to advance your engine's timing? and if that was the case, what do you gain by advancing it? isn't that kinda dangerous? i dunno...
