i didn't know they ship you product just for test trials.....

anyway i got in contact with a guy who has a 2000 lx with a domani trunk lid and he gave me the information that was needed. Now everything is in working order...

I will make a DIY thread just in case anyone runs into this same problem
Man are you way off, and missed the whole point.
So lets say you did your research for all intent and purposes.
You buy the item.... it comes in the nice shiny container & you wave to the ups guy cause he is bringing you goodies.
Now you get it out of the box, and go check to see if it will fit on your car before you send it off to paint.
Its also time you check the wiring too. Right then and there will you know you were given the right parts.
Not the I got it, I send it off to paint then worry about if it works or fits after you spend money on it to get it painted.
If you do a trial fit before and find it doesnt work.. you can send it right back with out being out money for paint or wiring.
Paint it and test later and its no good... you are out not only the cost of the parts but the paint too.
Does this make more sense than believing its plug and play.
When they say it is...it usually isnt. Avoid the syndrome and test first.

I recently purchased a Acura 1.6 EL/Domani Trunk Lid and tail lights. I know that it is a direct bolt on to 96-00 civic.

I've done extensive research on how to wire the tail lights, turn signals, and reverse lights and have come up with nothing.

I decided to wing it and install the trunk. I used the pigtail harness that came with the trunk and wired it to my stock harness by using common sense. (match the wires by color)

The issue I'm having is that the body harness on my car wont plug up to the outter tail lights.

So i am wondering if anyone on here has ever done the conversion before and can give me some useful information or links to a DIY.

please help me out Honda Tech i would greatly appreciate it!

I have a 99 civic LX... Not sure what year the domani trunk is.

you can reply here or email me @ mantyme@gmail.com

please include "domani help" in the subject line!
I also have a 1999 lx and have this problem it may be the trim or year of the civic not sure but I am having the same problem
