Default 02 SI motor in a ek hb???

I was wondering if the 02 SI motor would fit in a ek hb with the a/c??? or would the a/c have to be taken out or any kind of modification to make it fit?? A friend of mines plans on buying a k20 motor for his 02 SI and told me he would sell me his motor and tranny for 1000...tryin to figure if it's worth buying or not....since it's so freakin hot down here during the summer I would like to keep my a/c....I would just take the motor for alil more power then my DX motor and since he's sellin it for a fair price I would say...just wondering if maybe it would be worth it...I know it's not one of most prefered motors....it's just gonna be for daily driving....what y'all think???

**** tell him i will buy that swapp for 1g lol. ya you will have no problem fitting it in all u need are the mounts from his si and the ecu and the motors wiring harness. if you already have ac you should be fine.

1g is not a bad price. But like you said it is not the strongest motor. It will be a big upgrade over your single cam.
I don't know to much about the A3 which is his motor but for any other K swaps you need custom mounts (Hasport or K20eg's), your wiring harness will have to be modified and your shifter will also need to be modified. Although his motor is not the strongest of the k series it is a K and you will feel a big difference from that swap

Good Luck

It is cheap, why not? If anything, resell it for some profit?
