Default 02+ ep or rsx Cluster in my 98 ek?

I am just wondering if anyone has attempted to swap a 02+ civic cluster or a rsx cluster into a 96-00 civic......if so, how difficult is it? and how much rewiring is involved?......thanks

As far as I know the tach, fuel, and random things like turn signals wire right up, but the speedo and temp gauges need a lot of modifications that are still being worked out.

The 92-00 civic VSSs are the same. They operate at a much lower frequency than the S2K, RSX, and newer civics. Like you will get a readout of 15hz from the old sensors at a certain speed, while the S2k or RSX cluster will give you a readout of 500+hz.

I was doing a lot of reading and basicially what it comes down to is you need a modulator to multiply the VSS signal from the 92-00 VSS so the S2K speedo can read it correctly.

Guys that are working on it said that they get readings of 1 or 2 mph on the cluster when they're doing about 90.
