00 Civic DX hoses keep popping after overheating
We have 2000 Honda Civic DX with 150000 miles. Recently, it overheated. We replaced the radiator and thermostat hoping that would resolve the issue.
However, after we replaced radiator and thermostat it keeps popping hoses. So far two hoses have popped.
A friend who is knowledgeable about cars claims that hoses are popping because they are under unusually high pressure...very hard to the touch. We suspected the head gasket but there is no mixture of oil and coolant so we ruled it out. We also replaced the radiator cap.
Someone suggested that it might be the water pump. We are terrified of driving it until we figure out the problem. Any suggestions?
