I think it looks nice. I'm working on a del sol myself. I just don't prefer the stock look too much but that of course is just my taste.

his username is doraemonn_5689 on ebay. we email a lot and ended up setting up a transaction outside of ebay. I paid him via paypal and he shipped it to me with a tracking number! i was very impressed with the transaction. He sent all the items to me in the original honda bags with the receipts from the dealership attached.

Great job man. I love Del Sols and I've always wanted an SI-R. Wish I could take this off your hands.

Re: ~~EG2 Del Sol Si-R Build/"Restoration" Project. LOTS OF PICS~~~
So... I bought the del sol back. *Prepare for a long, but very cool story*
To give the back story, I ended up selling it to help fund my wedding. It is a decision that I look back on and was incredibly happy I did and do not regret at all. About five years ago, though, I decided to start looking for the Del Sol again. I didn't specifically have plans to buy it back, but I wanted to keep up with it in case I ever had the opportunity to do so.
During my search, I always seemed to be one or two owners behind. Every time I found another owner, it had been sold to somebody else. I'm from Midwest Georgia, and it had made its way north through Georgia, into South Carolina awhile, then through North Carolina.
To make a long story shorter, back in December of 2018, I decided to really start looking for the Sol again. I ran a Carfax on the VIN I had and found out the last action on the vehicle history report was from 2016 where it was worked on at a Meineke in Walkertown, North Carolina. This made me hopeful that it hadn't been totaled and crushed, but also fearful that it had been over two years of anything I could trace.
Either way, i decided to call the Meineke in NC. I figured, "A RHD Del Sol would be hard to forget." I was wrong though, nobody had any memory of the car. They were cool people and willing to help but didn't have any information for me.
Then I decided if I really wanted to find this Sol, I was going to have to start working hard. I started Cold Calling any business associated with cars/customization in the Walkertown, NC region. Again, my thoughts were SOMEBODY had to know SOMETHING about a RHD Del Sol.
To no avail, I decided to turn to our old, faithful Facebook. I started looking up anything associated with cars in the area. If I found something with people associated with it, I started sending them messages. My exact message to people was, "This is going to seem like a strange question. Are you familiar with a RHD Del Sol in your area?"
I probably messaged over 100 people, most of which had no clue and a few that had dead end leads.
Finally, I hit one person that had a good lead. He said he knew a guy named Joe that used to have one, buthe didn't know anything else about him or if he even still had it. I went through that guys friends list and sent a message to every Joe he knew (there were five of them).
I sent my general Facebook message and one responded with, "And whats the reason for this curiosity sir?"
My stomach dropped; I knew this had to be it. Sure enough, Joe had a RHD Del Sol and after a while of messaging back and forth, we confirmed it was my old Si-R. He stated it had been sitting in his garage for TWO years as a shell. He knew what he had and knew the rarity and value of this car, but I didn't care. I had to make an offer to get it back.
I can't tell you how fortunate I was that Joe was the owner of this car. I told him the story of this Sol (found in this thread), what the car meant to me, and why I wanted it back. He said he didn't want to take a loss on it and couldn't justify selling a shell (especially one in the condition it is in) for the amount of money he had into it. I didn't care and offered him exactly what he had into it and said I would make the 20 hour round trip on Sunday (it was Thursday) to pick it up. He didn't haggle, argue, or come back at me at all. He just agreed and said there is nobody else he would rather see have this car.
So, although this car is in terrible condition, I can't tell you what it means to have it back. I also STILL can't believe that I have it back. Not just another Del Sol. Not just another Si-R. The EXACT one. Every time I see something that I knew about the car from eight years ago, I am shocked that this is MY car again. The layers of color in the engine bay (purple, white, primer, black). The rear Hasport mount (I installed the whole set, but God only knows where the rest is). The speakers I installed in it. The JDM OEM stickers I installed. The LED lights I put in the climate control. The key mark down the side of the car.
I am still in disbelief. But, I have it and it is safe in my garage. It has years of work ahead of it, but I'm happy to get to do it all again.

So, I started working on it last night for the first time since getting it back a week ago.. Honestly, I don't think anything is going to surprise me anymore.
It may make me mad, but not surprise me.
Either way, interior is completely gutted and engine bay is almost completely gutted now. I'm taking it to get the core support and rear subframe welded on Friday.
I seriously found dog food everywhere in this car. Engine bay. Trunk. Under the seats. Under the carpet...
All interior is finally removed.
PSA: DON'T PUT BRAKE LINES INSIDE YOUR CAR!
Brake Lines Leak. Brake Fluid eats paint. No paint causes rust... Just, dont do it...
Also, Why would you cut out the back of the glove box?! Seriously?
And the back of the dashboard! What are you thinking?!

What in the mother of god happened to this car since you last owned it?!
I'm glad to see you saving it.
