Remember where you disconnected the cable under the dash? Grab that little pin it connects to and push and pull it in the directions it goes. That should fix that problem.
As for the defrost button.......I THINK all I did was switch the 2 bulbs in that button. When you pull it out you will see 2 green or a green and a gray circle. Get a small flat head and turn them. Then just switch them.

I'm actually going to be getting them in a couple days for my friends car. When we get them in, I'll post pics.

Re: [FAQ]DIY: '99 Recirc, A/C, and rear defrost buttons? (green00EX)
The A/C and Recirc. buttons back light is burned out on my girls '99 EX Sedan. I want to keep them stock colors, the dealer does not have the bulbs in stock and they are $5,00 apeice and I think I need TWO. Is there a Radio Shack bulb I can get that is the stock color and cheaper?

I have never taken my AC/ heater contol unit apart that much before, but I really doubt any other place would have the correct sized bulb for that.

Radio Shack, Checkers Auto Parts, NAPA, none of them had those bulbs. Your best bet is the dealer, unfortunately . Unless someone on here is selling them, you might be able to find em.

Re: (Slo96ex)
They are #194, and you have to click the link on the top row second from the left. It says "194 wedge side marker & interior bulbs" Then scroll down (almost all the way down) to the incandesent bulbs.

My first time, it took about 1hour - 1hr 15mins because I didn't know what the **** I was doing and I thought I HAD to pull the entire center console (armrest forward). But when I did it this time, from the time I sat down in the car to the time I shut the door I wanna say 20-30 mins. It's really quick if you know where everything is and how to put it all back.

Re: (SOHC4life 96)
i have an aftermarket CD player, so i won't need the bulbs for the radio...
excluding the radio, i'll only need 2 #74 bulbs for the climate control? thats it?
and then obviously the gauge cluster i'll need 1 #194 and like 5 #24?

Re: [FAQ]DIY: 96-98 Amber climate control and cluster (SOHC4life 96)
Thanks for the post! I just ordered the bulbs now. I always hated how my 97 EX has a boring *** clear cluster. At least my mom's 93 Taurus had some color, lol.
