*Big Problem HELP!* Car backfires, cant start
arite after i degreased my engine and hosed it down...i started it up and the car was runin fine, but then started to bog like crazy then turn off. i would try to start it and it would ignite and i would get a crazy backfire. i dunno wat happen. and now
the car wont start at all. please help. thank you

arite found the problem...ther was water in the distri cap...****** stupid me. everythin starts up quick now..but it idles at 2000...can any1 answer that. thanks for the help

Could be just a temporary thing untill it dries out, reset your ecu and drive it around and let it idle for a little while

Water gets into the spark plug holes in the valve cover and ***** the connection up. You need to pull the plugs and just get the water out of the holes, leave the spark plugs in, just get the water off them and the wires.

No that's not common for after a car is detailed.. If you cover up your distributor * alternator and disconnect the negative battery cable.. 1) Nothing is getting power so no shorts, no blown fuses. 2) You let the engine sit untill it dries.
Thousands of people have threads and DIY'S on here for ''How to clean your engine bay'' and there hasn't been one problem when it's done properly.
Anyway, glad you got it fixed.

aiite all problems fixed...the idle was comin from an open vacum line that i accidently removed the nut clogin it while i was detailin. im stupid sumtimes
