Default $free-fifty.free "ice box" mod

I ended up forgetting to screw in my fender liner completely and ended up eating it with an Azeni. Anyway, upon removing the fender liner I noticed a mod I did a long time ago that I totally forgot about. It consists of a piece of mandrel bent 2.75 tubing from an old AEM CAI that I ran over, hose clamp, and a random intake horn (or something) that I found in my garage.

That's AB Flug twine holding up the front, it compression fits into the stock airbox on the other end. Been like that for more than a year and never fell out. I won't feel too bad if I run it over, either way.

I have a K&N in the stock airbox with a GSR intake tube and I've often considered going to a Comptech Icebox but other than the increased filter size from running a GSR-size cone filter, I just can't see any reason to.

That's all. Make fun of me now.

Looks good. Seems like a cheap, effective mod to me!

P.S. your string is pretty.

That string's been in there for over a year and still looks new....hmmmm.
Still looks like a pretty effective mod though

Well, when you have your inner fender liner in, nothing gets in that area. It'll probably turn black now.

nice mod man, you know what works really good though is the short ram tube, into a decent size cooler, place the larger cooler were the stock air box goe's, make sure all the bottom air box is done, so anyways, make brackets for the larger cooler and mount it, then find a smaller cooler and put it inside it, drill holes, for the intake tube's 2.50 is a good size, seal it off good were the tube enter's the cooler box, then on the outside ring of the smaller cooler, but still inside the bigger cooler,, fill it with dry ice... try it,, with h/i/catback, with b16a, pulls like a gsr
