$50 TO ANYONE WHO CAN GET MY CAR RUNNING
UPDATED ON PAGE 6- POST ABOUT FUEL INJECTORS
Ok Guys here it goes... 97' EK LS swap
Fuel Pump Will Not Prime and Main Relay Clicks..
-Replaced Main Relay, and tested it, tested in working order.
-Thermostat has good ground
-reading 12V when i tested the power to the fuel pump.
-Replaced Fuel Pump
-Tested 3 different ECU''s...OBD2A(stock)..OBD1 Ecu w/ jumper harness, and OBD2 ECU from a DC2. (I also hooked my OBD1 ECU w/ the jumper harness up to his car and it worked perfectly)
-I tested the pin that powers the fuel pump (Plug A ,pin 16) by hooking a wire from the pin to the fuel pump wire green/yellow to power it directly in case there's a break in the line.
-Checked Fuses that were Necessary.
-I am using an OBD1 dizzy wired to OBD2 (not sure if that matters)
I've Still got Nothing guys.
Please HELP ASAP I NEED THIS RUNNING TONIGHT

Hmm, I had a $50 reward thread on here a little ways back. Maybe I can get my money back
So main relay clicks, but how do you know the fuel pump is not priming? You said you tested 12v at the fuel pump. What is the fuel pressure at the filter/injectors?
What else is happening? Is the engine turning over and not starting? Not turning over? Clicking when you turn key to start position? More info needed...

That would be indicative of improper grounding. Check grounds! (this screwed me up) You need the harness ground to the thermostat to ground the ECU, the tranny ground to the chassis to ground the starter, and the head/valve cover ground to the chassis to ground the injectors.

when you turn the key to on position it gives power to the ecu, when the ecu is all powered up then power is sent to the fuel pump relay. it's not an ecu problem then.
you say you can hear the fuel pump relay click so it's a wiring problem between your fuel pump relay and your fuel pump.... check your grounds and connections

Re: $50 TO ANYONE WHO CAN GET MY CAR RUNNING (EKcivicEX)
hey bro if you read i did "rig a wire" to the fuel pump from the correct pin out on the ecu....stil nothing...yeah the timing is correct on the engine, comression is good but its not getting fuel that is the only thing.
I took the line off of the fuel rail and abs. no fuel comes through or even drips through.

I've checked all of my grounds...the thermostat is reading 12V+ same w/ the one from the the chassis to the tranny, and the chassis to the VC

Re: (QuangAlang)
i already did this, and the fuel pump did turn over, which i thought ruled out the fact that it would be a bad fuel pump...
but some one else told me not necessarily so i replaced it last night

so if your fuel pump is running how come youre still no fuel out of your fuel line?
did you forget to hook up the fuel lines to the pump inside the tank?

Re: (QuangAlang)
the lines inside the tank are connected...the fuel pump maide some sort of noise (priming?) only when directly powered by the car battery
-black wire with a jumper wire to the negative terminal
-yellow/green wire with a jumper wire to the positive terminal
-black wire with a jumper wire to the negative terminal
-yellow/green wire with a jumper wire to the positive terminal

this is what saying: run a wire from the batery to the fuel pump but install an on/off switch with it so you can run the fuel pump manually; bypassing the main relay altogether. once you do that, turn the fuel pump on and start the car.

Re: (QuangAlang)
i just talked to a friend he's going to grab an auxillary switch and some wire to do this...i would rather not run an extra switch but if i have to, to get my car running then its worth it.

im not saying that this would be a permanent fix, just use this method to see if your car runs or untill you can figure out the fuel pump problem.
