$160 civic nose mask - good deal?
I found a guy who has an OEM nose mask and bra, brand new for 160 shipped. Does this sound reasonable, given the rarity of this part?

Re: civic nose mask
$140.00 -$160.00 is average for a full nose mask. So I'd say you're getting an alright deal. I picked mine up for $145.00 shipped a couple years ago. Seen them for as high as $190.00 when I was shopping around.

Re: civic nose mask
I got a half nose mask just about two years ago from Honda for $60 ('96-'98). I think the full version was going for no more than $100 at the time.
The thing about the full nose masks is they're not very sought after. Few people want the lower section and usually it seems to end up stashed away while the hood section only is put on the car.
Please note the half nose mask is not contained in the full nose mask. The half nose mask consists of three pieces: a hood section and two pieces for the fronts of the fenders. The full nose mask consists of two pieces: a hood section and a big section that covers the bumper and up over the fronts of the fenders.

The half mask was discontinued shortly after I purchased one. I'd figure the full nose mask is discontinued by now like all, or most 6G Civic options have been

If it's a 6th gen (96-98 half mask only or full mask for 99-00), you can get a new one sub $100 at h and a.

That's not bad then.
Sometimes you need to take the rarity into consideration. What I mean is this: Say that it's known this part existed, but you've only ever seen it once and it was in total crap condition, like falling off the car, moss all over it, logo barely visible, stitches coming loose. Say one pops up in almost mint condition. Then, if you want that part bad enough, it might be worth whatever they ask.
When I got my front lip it was the second one I was aware of in the US at that point in time. Mine was brand new, still in the box from Honda, never mounted. I'd been looking for five years and never seen any sign of it besides one car that already had it (and IIRC it was sold on the car several times). I knew I REALLY wanted that lip, so when the seller asked for $500 and other people were acting interested, I jumped on it and snagged it. Those lips have gotten more popular since then, but mine is still in better condition than most that I see in the US and I've still not seen another one in person.
If you get this full nose mask, I'd suggest you put it on only for occasional use and store it away safely when you're not using it.

Anyone have experience with the hood masks on eBay? I'm thinking about picking one up just because it's pretty hard to find one for an EG for a decent price. They look the same, and I don't think there's too many things the people who replicated it could mess up on... but you never know with eBay.

Sorry, but I'm not one who cares about replica parts or not. Spending $1500+ on "real" wheels alone on my hatch which costed me $1200... that would be idiotic. I'm not like most of the kids who troll the A/C forum begging for their ***** to be stroked because of their mad tyte JDM wheels

I'd check about the 5G coupe/hatch mask at Honda before you buy this one. I remember being told 6G ones were discontinued, but I don't have a 5G, thus I don't check the status on 5G parts often.
And I know this isn't the norm, but I was able to find a trunk net for my 6G coupe by chance... it was found, still in the bag coated in dust, under some shelves in my local dealership. Since it'd been there so long they sold it to me at a discount too. I also have a guy who looks out for me for all kinds of neat stuff too though. He knows how I'm into this sort of stuff, so he tries his best to help out when they find "garbage" I might be interested in.
