how is a jdm motor hot?
anyways... thats a good deal... you can get a lsd tranny and have your self a ctr setup for $2500, plus you still have the option to go 1.8L (ITR)

uhhh, what? people with jdm motors can't get jacked or something?
anyways, if that CTR (b16b) motor comes with all required papers and such, 1500 is one hell of a deal even if its just a long block.

HMM, last time I checked, they didnt make a CTR in the states. Where the **** you gonna steal it from? Dont assume just because something is a good deal it is stolen.

Example: you buy a ctr motor from a shop, your car with ctr motor gets stolen.
btw- $1500 for a ctr motor is a heck of a deal, make sure everything is in working condition.

yeah i understand Example: you buy a ctr motor from a shop, your car with ctr motor gets stolen. , that equals to getting jacked... but its not a hot motor as if its legally report stolen with the police as if it was a motor from the states..

No sh#t--the head is worth a solid $700 alone.
BTW, they DO steal cars in Japan. Thus, it IS possible to get a stolen motor from Japan. The crooked shop theory is even more probable.
However, the B16B isn't the most popular motor Stateside. The "get a B18C" and "get a B18C5" crowds shun them pretty hard.
For that price, it's worth looking into. Just get a receipt or papers.

of course its worth it.
I doubt it is legit.
if it is legit I doubt it is in good condition (as in it needs to be rebuilt now)
if it is in good condition you could fetch twice the price for it on here.
no duh people steal jdm motors.
steal them in japan. steal them once they are here and in someones car. steal them from shops, etc.

Re: (wilsel)
Its basically impossible to track stolen jdm motors. Esp the years before they put vin plates on em. It sounds stolen, but whatever, do what u want, if you dont buy it, a million other people will, you might as well have it.

who cares if its 'hot' people who get their engines stolen are probably gonna go steal someone elses engine to make up for it. keep the cycle flowing!
