been looking for a 1999/2000 Si. and came across this one. what do yall think??
comes with a swapped b20 block and gsr head. i've looked at a couple of them over the past month and a half. and damn, they pretty F'd up.
but this ones super clean. dude wants 4500. got em down to 4300, as he just installed the detachable steering wheel.

seems like theres a oil leak somewhere, as the top of the tranny/front (by the engine #) is wet as if its fresh oil...

Whats it worth? Selling for my brother;

1993 Honda Del Sol Si
Color: Samba green
Mileage: 95,xxx

Mods: Intake, dc headers, exhaust, shaved handles & molded front lip.

Interior is 100% factory including super clean OEM green mats. Has the samba factory wheels which were only offered on I believe 150 cars for that year as a dealer order option.

The bad:
Car has salvage title from my brother getting into a front end accident where the front core support was damaged. It was replaced, repaired & repainted however the shop that did the paint work did a sub-par job. They offered a lifetime warranty on their paint but then shortly after closed shop & moved out of the area. Paint looks good in some areas but they did not do a great job. The handles that were shaved are showing stress cracks where the handles used to be and the hood has some sort of weird wavy effect where its not dinged but its not flat.

Its a shame they did a shitty job on the paint because after $4,000+ having them do it if they had done it right it would have been a super clean/sharp car. Simple subtle mods to clean up the look of the car without going over the top. Anywho looking for rough price point to sell for. My brother moved and left the car, he has put maybe 1k miles on it in the past 5+ years. I originally owned this car myself and purchased it with around 30k miles on it then sold to my brother who basically just stored the car after a couple of years. Technically its a 3 owner car but two of them are within my family.

I'm off to see a bone stock white '95 Civic EX with 170k(high, I know), but it belongs to a Honda technician so I'm expecting solid maintenance records.

Duncan Imports puts a 0-5 grade on their cars (0 being junkyard material and 5 being showcar-ready.) This was a 4.5, with the main issues being:
- TransTop wasn't functional (they repaired it)
- Tires were dry-rotted (I replaced them)

Yep, it's RHD. While a stick would've been the natural preference, having it be automatic thankfully doesn't create too much confusion bouncing back and forth between this and my Odyssey. Plus I figured a B16 paired to an auto might make for an interesting find in the States. That said, the same importer has a manual trans SiR with similar mileage going for $5k more.

Apart from that, and some components in the engine bay that have seen minor corrosion, it's basically a new, 26-year old car. Purchased at the beginning of 2018, for reference.

Selling a 97 hatchback with an h22a swap, skunk2 suspension, si interior, and upgraded stereo. Interior and exterior 6-7ish out of 10 mechanically everything is sound 8-10, 5th gear grinds a bit occasionally. Hood props taken off body is pretty straight for 20 years.

Redid the interior. The only thing the owner says the car needs is a tune because it's running a little rich and puts out smoke when you give it gas.

How much is a restored 1997 Del Sol Si worth? All original, no mods. I'm moving and ready to sell mine, but I'm not sure how much to list it for. It's a 1.6L 1590CC L4 VTEC SOHC. FWD, automatic. AC and heating work, power windows. New everything (lots to list, I have all my records still). No dents, no scratches, no rust. New factory red paint. It's got a little over 140,000 miles on it, but that was before we replaced everything. I've put about 2000 on it since then. Female only driver, non smoker. Basically it was just to get me around town, but it's made a couple longer trips too, it came from Florida and I live in maryland haha. The only thing non original in this car is the radio, it was missing one and I put in a newer one.

What's the market value for a restored to original del sol?

A '97 will be 25 years old by then and thus legal to import into the US. On Tradecarview.com they're ranging from $11k to $20k before import fees. If ITRs sell for $40k+, what do you think these will sell for on sites like Japanese Classics or Toprank? I'm planting seeds now with the wife and need to figure out how much to budget for every month until then. It would be great if they sell for less than $20k, but looking at ITR prices, I feel like these could be in the $25-$30k range. Thoughts?

Definitely $25-30k. I've seen anywhere between $15-24k currently for illegal cars, depending on condition.
