have a 2007 civic si sedan thats got mugen GPs and ordered TSX front calipers but wondering if they will clear with the bigger TSX ones

Might want to get some spacers. I put Type R Brembo calipers on my 2010 FA5 and I needed 25mm spacers for my stock 17 inch wheels to clear. If the Mugen wheels are +45 offset, you will need to do the same. I got H&R DRM wheel spacers for all four corners.

I have the TL Type-S calipers on my Civic as well. The type-s calipers are WAY bigger than stock, whereas the TSX calipers are only a little larger than stock. I personally don't think you will need any spacers to clear the TSX calipers with Mugen GPs based on the spoke design of those wheels.

This thread over at 8thcivic has some people talking about making Mugen GPs clear the big Type-S calipers with minimal spacers, so I would think that the TSX calipers would be just fine.

Thanks man didn't wanna start without knowing if I would need spacers, got 10mm for free so got them just incase

So after installation found it to have a lot of clearance and the braking being a huge improvement, how SI shouldve came from factory

I totally agree with that last note. I never had an issue with my stock brakes until I started doing SCCA events and canyon runs. The Type-S brakes are such a big improvement.

Which type r brembos did you run ? If FD2 brembos, where did you get them. Ive been hunting for them for two years with no luck =(

no mis-quote. I have a friend who’s a mechanic in Nagano-Shi, he sourced out the FD2 fronts out of a wrecker in Tokyo or thereabouts and shipped them to me for $700 CAD.
