The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (OFFICIAL PRICE THREAD)
#177
Every dealer around me are looking for ~5k above MSRP!! I got a couple friends working for honda and even they said they can't sell it to me for less than 1k above.
Has anyone bought from an auto broker?

Not bad but still close to msrp, not invoice. I hope when the Fit comes out and the SI has ripened after a few more months, we will be able to get the car for a little over invoice, not under msrp.

Got my 06 silver SI for $250 less than MSRP, without haggling. I think I could have squeezed another $250 out of them. They wanted to sell a car. Live near Pittsburgh, but bought it off the lot in Akron, OH on a fluk. Was there to buy an S2000, glad I bought the SI.
I've had 6 other Hondas and this is by far the best. I can't imagine what Honda has on the drawing board........
my 2 cents

Ok guys, I think I got as good a deal as possible. I got the Si for a few hundred bucks under MSRP, and all my accesories at dealer cost. So I got the Si, with ground effects, fog lights, and the 18" rims for $25,000, out the door. That includes sales tax, tags and everything. They also gave me top dollar for my trade. I was considering an RSX-S and an STI also, but I couldn't pass this deal up.

The lease was up on the s2k. I'll never lease another car by the way, but I traded in the 2.5 RS. No need for a beater with a civic.

I'm on "the call list" there, just waiting for one to come in. I went to First Honda in Simi, since it was closer, but I liked the salesmen better at Vista.
So when is the next Si coming in at Vista? I'm waiting for the call...

I spoke to a sales rep over the phone from San Juan Capistrano - he told me they're selling the 06 Si with no markup but the wait is 3 months. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up

I picked up my 06 Si with Navi. last Thursday for just sticker price. After 3 months of random searching and calling, I decided to go on some car search websites and bombard as many dealerships within a 3 state stretch as possible. I even used "Do not call" as my name when filling out the requests. Most of the dealerships told me the same thing everyone up here is talking about - more than sticker price, come put down a deposit, and wait up to 4 months. Luckily, I got a reply from a dealership 3.5 hours away stating that they had a silver one coming in with navi. that was not spoken for, and they were asking full sticker price. I gave them my credit card number for good faith and they called me when it came in. My point is that they are out there. There are tons of Honda dealerships in the US. You just have to be persistent and let them know your intentions up front. I kept saying telling everyone that emailed me back "I have money and I'm ready to roll. Find me a car today". I live in Virginia Beach and drove to Raleigh, NC to buy mine. Just thought i'd put that out there for people who haven't tried this method. Good Luck!

Any of you guys that are considering Si's, have you thought about the new Miata. If you're really into the Si for the sports aspect i would seriously consider a new miata. They are very close in price, and the miata is way more dedicated to sports.

Re: (Modest Mouse)
Wow! I was just about to go and check out a SI, but after reading how the stealership are marking these baby 4,000~5,000 over MSRP, dang! I can get a really sweat 2006 WRX with pretty much all the bells and whistles for just a little over 23,000. May just have to bite the bullet and settle for a low-thy 2006 WRX sedan...
Peace,

Re: (Elfstone)
I heard somewhere that prices will drop after April, can anyone confirm this? I have several dealerships calling me back saying they each have several in stock or can get access to pretty much any color for me - has demand died down already, or are people just waiting for lower prices?
