if u change it ever 3K miles, then your wallet will suffer in the long run. Our si's are economy-sport cars. Regular civics are economy cars thus contradicting the 3K mileage oil change intervals. Change it ever 5K unless you drive it like you stole it every single time your hands are on the steering wheel and your right foot is flooring the gas pedal

well you got a point there ..but i drive my car a long distance everyday to go to skoo

I have about 46xx miles since my last oil change and have 30% of my oil life left. I am going to change it this weekend cause it is just now turning dark brown almost black. I changed to mobile 1 fs at about 9k and no problems yet I can't complain when my oil stays gold for the good part of 4500 miles!

I travel 15 miles to school everyday and then add 10 more to go to work afterwards and 25 miles to go back home.
My oil change was at almost 6K. It wasn't black but it needed a change.
As long as you dont run your engine hard 24/7 u dont need a 3K(every month and a half or 2) oil change...save your money and buy school supplies...damn now i remember i had some project to finish...gotta buy some stuff to make it
