Default Hidden Hitch's

Hello to all,

Anyone bought Hidden Hitch's 1 1/4" receiver for the Si?

Their site doesn't have any pictures of it installed.

Just wondering if it hangs down or if the main bar is tucked up under the bumper.

Thats just plain dumb we dont hardly have any torque as it is and your wanting to tow a trailer with it HA....Fail. To answer you question no i havent seen one on an si but you would be the first.............

I agree, buy or rent a truck if you want to haul some stuff. I could'nt even imagine trying to tow something with my SI.

Amazingly idiotic responses here.

I have a hitch on my Si to transport bikes on a 1 1/4 Thule rack. I love the one I got, installed perfectly with very minor mods to the muffler heatshield. I believe I got it from etrailer.com and it is the Curt model specifically made for the Si.

Sorry for the huge pic, its the only one I could find that you can make out the hitch on because it blends in so well.

I guess it's all a matter of personal preference, as long as the load isn't too much. Honda didn't engineer and build the 6-speed FWD close ratio sport transmission for hauling waverunners.

If you want to take your bike to the park, etc...don't use a bike rack that hooks on to your trunk. It will pull the edge of the trunk away from the weather strip, then you will get a wet trunk when it rains. A bike rack that slides into a receiver is better.

While a Civic/Civic Si isn't the ideal vehicle for towing it is more than capable of doing so. It's funny how people say the car isn't designed to tow, or how much poer/torque the vehicle lacks. Before opening your mouth how doing a little research. Compare vehicles that are similar or the same and you will see the tow rating is much higher in European and Asian countries.

I actually put on a set of adjustable coilovers on an old Honda I use to own so the vehicle didn't bottom out. The vehicle did just fine.

Gosh, your grammar is horrible. Don't hardly? It's "we hardly have" or "we don't have much."

There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting a hitch on the Si for the reason i-VTEC_DOHC states below.

I have seen many people in many different cars at track days with hitches on their cars for tire trailers. The reason? You can't drive to the track on your race rubber. Not everyone can afford a full-size truck and a car trailer.

And i agree for that purpose. I dont know where yall live but around here when you see cars with a tow hitch on it they normally haul wave runners(seen a corvette with a wave runner) boats,a full size trailer packed full of **** way more than supposed to on there and driving slow as hell. I appoligize i didnt expand on my explanation.Tow hitchs for a little trailer haul your wheels to the track yeah its all good i dont mind. Its when dumb ****in ppl put 8'x17' trailer on there car and load it down full of s**t.
