I just tried checking the manual for any information about it. I didnt really know where to look, so i checked some topics that may have someething to do with it. I couldnt find one single thing that even came close to describing it. It blown my mind. lol

I have it in mine too, but didn't notice if blink at all.

I checked the Si Helm's manual and there was nothing in there about it. The full civic manual is on its way, so I'll try and find it in there when it comes.

I put foglights in an Si and had to remove that and it definately wasn't there. Turn the clip 1/4 turn and you should be able to pull it out.
I'm checking the electrical manual now to see whats up with it...

it's definately something aftermarket. I would take it back to the dealer and find out what the heck it is.

Some dealers prewire for security systems or install them and later disable them if you don't purchase their system.

Alright, I don't have it in mine, so its not lojack or theft deterr. Maybe it has something to do with where your car was assembled... Those who have it may be different from those who dont. Mine was in Alliston Ontario(sp?) Canada. How about you that have it? Also, you guys dont have navi? or do you? mine doesnt... maybe thats a factor?
