2010 Civic water temp sending unit debug
How does the 2010 Civic water temp sending unit work? Is it just a thermister that its resistenace changes as the water temp does?
How can I debug the water temp sending unit, would it be as simple as reading it's output with a ohm meter? If yes, how do I translate the reading into a temp.
thanks

no need for two threads on the same issue. have you checked the thermostat yet? i highly doubt there is a problem with the sending unit

I explained symptoms to Honda dealership, and they say its operating normally and that there is no reason for them to check it.

well no offense but this is a DIY site, so you should check for yourself rather than listening to the dealership. Its very simple to do. If you are concerned about warranty issues then yes, argue with the dealership that the car is not getting to normal temp and have them check.
But I disagree with the dealership, it is not normal for the temp gauge to read below the normal operating range (you posted the scale in the other thread)
