Default 2009 Honda Civic DX - upper mounting bolt for starter not staying in

I was having intermittent issues with the car starting. We replaced the battery, and starter, and still atleast once a week the car wouldn't start. The dashboard lights up, the radio turns on, heater turns on, but the engine doesn't turn over. If you leave the car for awhile, and do ABSOLUTELY nothing, it will randomly resolve the issue and the car will start no problem.

So we had someone replace the starter (again) with a new one, and now they said the upper mounting bolt won't stay in and that the area the bolt goes into is stripped and needs to be rethreaded.

So my question is; how much time on average is it for a mechanic shop to rethread wherever the upper mounting bolt goes into?

Manual transmission or automatic?

Shop time will be a minimum of one hour, possibly 2 to 4 depending on how much stuff they have to remove to get clear access to drill the hole.
It will also depend if they are going to do the cheap, less effective helicoil or if they opt for the more expensive but much more effective time-sert.

If they can't get clear access with the transmission in the car, then they have to remove the transmission which means having to drop the sub frame and you could be looking at a multi day repair.

I'd say that a half-decent mechanic can fix that in an hour. Access to that spot has reasonable clearance with the starter out, so at that point it's a matter of whether they have the right tools to get the helicoil or time-sert in at that angle.
