2006 EX Automatic - Park won't start Car
Hi everyone,
im stuck with this one. My civic sometimes don't start even though the automatic shifter is on P and the brake is pressed and the key is turned. What I can do is while the car is off and the brake is pressed, I will shift to D then back to P and then turn the key and the car will start. There is no issues with shifting and no really sounds with the transmission. I am guessing there is electronic issue that is failing. What can I try to check to make sure I'm not stuck with a dead car because of an electrical issue?

When it's not starting see if the light on the dash shows it in park. If not then it may the range switch on the transmission not switching it back to park.
