Default Wheel question

I have a 2003 Civic EX. It’s lowered about 2.5in in the rear and 2in in the front. Just was wondering if anyone knew if 15x7 +12 offset and 195/50 tire would fit? Thanks

I think by lowering it you won't have enough clearance. This site should help you figure it out though. I entered the original wheel and tire specs and then yours.
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=50mm&sr=0mm

Good luck with it.

thanks I went to that site and it said I would have no problems with clearance. But I couldn’t factor in the 2.3 -3” drop I have. I mean the rear has some camber so I think it will tuck. But the front I’m worried about. Any input from you guys is much appreciated!!!

Well, I kind of looked at the clearance numbers on the side, and then factored in that 2.5 inches means a drop of 63.5 mm and 2''= 50.8mm. The wheel diameter you would be installing would be 46mm less so maybe its close. I think the bigger issue is the offset is not big enough and that you will need a spacer to allow the brakes to clear. Playing around with offset, I think if you got a 40 spacer to bring the offset up to 52, you would be spot on for the scrub radius and everything appears to fit.
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=185-65-15X6ET45&wheel2=195-50-15X7ET52&fcl=50mm&scl=50mm&wcl=30mm&sr=0mm

Actually, if you scroll down that page, it gives you a report and comparison of the two sizes and highlights the differences and what to look for fitting wise.

Dang ok awesome I really appreciate the information. I did buy 5mm front spacers to clear the calipers. I did assume that was all I needed. I’ll halfto look into it more!!

and I know you said if I got a 40 spacer to bring it to 52. But are you talking about a 40mm spacer?!? Isent that huge?!

The regular offset for a Honda wheel is 45--- the difference between 45 and 52 is 7mm more. Whereas the rims you are talking about had only 12mm, and hence had 33mm less, that is a huge difference. To be honest with you I don't really know why you want to do this or go for such an oddball size rim. They will be brutal in terms of your suspension and the car will not drive as well. Why not stick with a more standard upsize? I do not know where you live, but in my part of Canada between cracks and heaves in the pavements, potholes and speed bumps I think stancing the car and putting rubber bands on it for tires adds nothing to the vehicle. Was the lowering done properly or did someone just cut the strut springs?

I’ll be honest I have seen people run this rim but I think they had extensive suspension modifications. I may have not done proper research... I’m starting to dread seeing these wheels show up at my door. I just really wanted something with the “deep dish” look. So I chose the smallest rim width I could find with a big lip. I’m probably going to halfto roll the fenders pretty extensive, but that’s ok with me it’s just a cheap fun car I payed $600 for. As far as the suspension I will replace the parts as they break since Honda/after market stuff is so cheap For my model. And to be honest the only reason I even got that small of a tire for that wheel is because I think any wider of a tire would not talk under my fenders or even fit at all :/

but it as far as the lowering their not cut, their just lowering springs.no camber kits or anything but it has some camber in the rear
