Weird Speedometer Problem / Head Unit
Hello,
I recently was trying to install my friends sub into his car, and I am pretty sure everything is plugged in correctly but the sub will not work no matter what I tried. Well, after we gave up on trying to fix the sub, we put the head unit back in place (only changing the remote wire), and secured it. He drove off and shortly after, the head unit turned off. Before this, we were testing the sub and the head unit was working fine. Also, when the head unit turned off, a new problem came up. When the key is turned on the ignition (not starting the car), the speedometer needles shake and after about 3 sec it stops and goes to normal. The car is still running fine (except radio/head unit). I checked the ACC RADIO fuse under the steering wheel and found it blown. I replaced it and that it would have fixed it but the problem persist. I read somewhere there was a fuse under the hood that could have blown as well but with the diagram shown, there was nothing that pointed to ACC or RADIO and etc. If there is a fuse I can look at, can someone please help me figure which one? Also, I will get the battery tested soon to see if it is faulty or not. Also, if I test the battery with a multi-meter, what voltage should it be? Please help if possible! Thanks!
