Transmission issues. Slipping after short drive.
I have a 01Honda civic lx and when I first take out it drivess justt find. but after a few minutes of driving its starts to slow down without me pushing the break. when I stop I'm still in drive press on the gas in it will not moving. its like I'm n park press the gas but I'm in drive. after this happens I put the car in park turn it off and wait 5-10min. and it takes off like nothing happened.HELP WHT IS THIS. I'VE BEEN TOLD I MIGHT NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION.

With it acting normal after the problem I doubt it's the tranny. More likely it's the transmission range switch (code P0705 or P0706).
Take it down to Autozone and have them pull the codes. Post back with the EXACT code(s).
