Re: swap question (AiL45)
And if you read more than the faq and searched you would already know the answer. To answer your question theoretically you could swap a b series. It wouldn't be cost effective and in some cases not legal.

Bud, I thought you would have noticed this already. You've been here a while. Haven't you noticed the numerous threads with people asking this same question?
To answer you directly, the only feasible swap (money wise) would be the K-series engines. B-series engines (mount up the same, so B18's mount up the same way B16's do), are EXTREMELY difficult and costly to swap into the 7th gen chassis.

Yes, we can... Case in point:
But the real question lies in the fact of commercially available parts to DO that swap.
That is the only B I know of in an EM2, and ALL of that was custom fabricated stuff. Nothing from the car is commercially available.

To be legalistic, it was a B16/B15 Hybrid, but they all mount up the same.

Re: (civ05se)
kk everyone i get the point lol i was askin out of curiousity cuz yup ive officially given up on making my civic fast lol i just found out me n a friend are gonna swap to cars we had lying around, im switchin my 86 chevy pickup for his teggy i believe its a 91. so that means i finally got myself a project car. gonna start with gettin out the motor n ect so i can do the $50 paint job. then ima save up money, until i can actually spend money on enginewise. im going to make it a b18b (ls) boosting, and then later on slap on a vtec head. what you guys think?

Ive thrown around selling my 7thgen or sticking with it for some time now, and Im pretty sure this will be the car to have in 2-3 years. As it is the best looking, and lightest of the "newer" model civic's.
