Default strut going bad or even more

I have a civic lx 2004..the strut going bad clunking when drive....today when i braked the whole car start to swerve and was like the wheel was trying to fly off . Did my strut break or it broke more that that?

Have you checked your compliance bushings in the lower control arms up front? They are prone to wearing out.

Thank you...will definately check that. I did look under hood when i got home and the strut where issue is..passenger side...the housing that went around the strut where it bolts on the ring on one part looks like its been cut out and the strut now is below the hole. So i know for sure strut is part of issue...just leery if something more than that
