Just curious.

It seems a bit tougher to find them too for the EX transmission, but abundant for the LX and base model trannies.

A short shift kit is universal among trim models. You can use any 7th gen non Si or base RSX short shifters, as they are the same box assembly.

Type S works too. I have a Revo SS, from a Type S.
Shifts are shorter, and it only sits about 1" shorter than stock. Has a nice subtle look, IMO.

Well I think I'm gonna get one then. I had one on my '98 hx and the shifts were awesome, tight, and very close together.

How hard are they to install on these cars?

On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd say 1... maybe 2 if you didn't have your own socket set.

I have Revo and I haven't had absolutely any problems with it. I highly recommend it along with some aluminum shifter bushings (strutking.com or corsportusa.com). And I do have an EX.

Sure there is. PSPEC offers probably the most adjustable and most developed short throw kit, but it's costly. If you're just looking to shorten the throw, most of those basic bolt-on angle changers will suffice.

Look into B&M as well... I had theirs on my coupe EX when I had it, and I loved it. Now the wifes EX Sedan rocks the exact shifter I had in the Coupe.

What does having aluminum bushings do? Make everything tighter and make the shift more crisp?

Whats adjustability matter? I mean, you can only adjust so much and to a certain point, right?

Thanks for the B&M suggestions guys. Where can I pick one up from and for how much?

I had a Grex power shot short throw on my HX.. that was a sick sick shifter. Looked real cool too.

1. Yes, Exactly. The stock EM2 shifter uses rubber bushings. The B&M comes with anodized aluminum bushings. Really nice pieces.

2. http://www.dezod.com/pd_bm_short_thr..._including.cfm 191 bucks, shipped.

Some of us track our cars. So, adjustability is a nice feature to have on a car that sees track time.
