No, I haven't seen a sequential for D17's or the K-series. That'd be an extremely tough find. It wouldn't be really worth it, unless your gearbox is completely worthless. Even then, it'd be way too costly to warrant spending the money.

not worth it,

especially if you want to upgrade it.

BMW's SMG's are made to handle the power of the car stock. you can do a little to the car, but try to turbo or supercharge it and the SMG is like an automatic, can't hold the power.

Do you even know what you want?

An SMG is definately not going to happen. Honda has never built one for a road going vehicle, certainly not a FWD econobox. A BMW SMG unit costs a large fraction of the total cost of a civic. Not to mention that there's no provision for any of the electronics or anything else needed for an SMG.

A race sequential box is possible but not made by honda. Hewland, getrag, etc might make a sequential box that could be mated to a D, B, or K application but again, why? You can't drive it on the street, and it would require a huge amount of development work which if you're asking this question you certainly couldn't do.

Conversion to a dog engagement H-gate box I think is possible. Of course this is a race only deal but I've seen it done for B's and it might be worthwhile for a built K in a race car.

In conclusion, if you need an SMG on your civic, you are SOL and insane. If you can't drive stick, I pity you, buy an automatic.

did i mention anything about it in my previous post about wanting one in my civic? no...did i mention that i dont know how to drive manual? no... did i even refer to trying to mod one onto a civic? no... so, if you could just refrain from typing up an argument, it be greatly appriciated. all i wanted was a yes or no answer. i was just curious about it after i finished browsing http://www.e46fanatics.com.

in simple terms, stop trying to be a jackass

bimmerforums.com is better IMO,

well the OT rules anyway,

only people that know anything there are the e36 sections.

oh well.

yeah it really isn't worth it.

but if you were wanting to do it, you could probably only find an SMG for a B-series or a k-series.

it would be fun if you just had the money to throw out at something.
