Radio Code
For those of you trying to unlock your radio due to emoving the battery. The serial number will need to be obtained to supply your nearnest dealership who should give you the unlock code for FREE. Some radios require you to remove it from the dash to get the number and others like mine (2002 Civic) can be found by pressing 1 and 6 at the same time while turning the radio ON and the serial number will show on the display. The person who buys the car new is given a sticker with the unlock code and it is up to them to stick it somewhere in the car such as behind the ash tray or inside the glove box. If your lucky you may find this sticker somewhere in your car and save yourself the trip to the dealership.
I've read other forums where others have said that they called over the phone and got the number without having to visit the dealership. Good Luck!!
