Considering I've had 2 sets of the Hotchkis camber plates, I'll let you in on them...
You will gain 1/4 - 1/2" of shock travel total.

Sadly, with a spring that small... your ground clearance to the sub-frame will be almost nothing (if not nothing). The spring rates will have to be astronomically high to keep the car from colliding with itself on every bump. Also, with a spring that short, unless you have flipped tie rod ends you won't be able to attach them to your struts up front.

I'll see what I can do on the extended tophats. I usually take pics of what I do as much as possible. I bought them from clubrsx

and matt, I wont be maxing out the car, I think Id be on struts and not the spring. ground clearance will be low. I was looking under my car on level ground and was thinking to myself, "how's this gonna work" haaha, should be fun, im not worried about scraping, it does now.

whats your take on the t1r tie rods? ive researched it on clubrsx. and the steering rack bracket? I wanna do this right the first time, it'll be pushing the limits but I dont want to break anything in the process. ive been trying to "do it right" since day 1 with my suspension.

keep an eye on your axles too
I know hondakorn has been through at least a couple axles, riding low.
t1r tie rod ends are ok, just make sure you lubricate them regularly, because they do not have a grease boot. Also, they like to break from time to time..... but that may be from people not lubricating them

I went through two sets of T1R's before I bought a set off of one of the guys on ClubRSX (9201 or something, I forget). His tapered bolts are much more durable then the ones offered by T1R. His heim joints are also far more durable. The T1R's wore out completely on me. You could here the knocking from them at most any speed, and there was a lot of slack in the wheel.

I'll be careful with axles, I know about the body modificaiton. lol thanks for your tips harlowe

matt, the ones he sells, are dc5 ones and are tapered. they wont work with a em2 suspension right? Id rather not drill out my shock body arm, what should I do? i remember somebody saying the dc5 ones are "stronger" but do they make ep3 ones?

Well, if your macpherson's don't have a tapered edge on the tie rod ends, it'd be the first EM2 without them that I've heard of. The only difference between the front struts of DC5, EM2, and EP3 is the crash/knuckle bolt sizes and spring rates.

0857 is his name. i bought a set of his tie rod ends, but haven't installed them yet. i also had a set of t1rs that i never installed, since i heard they aren't as good

okay, so the dc5 ones he makes would work right? they are just longer in length, if I just use some washers would that suffice?

I'm sorry, I know I really should be posting all this in the suspension thread.

Why are you thinking the DC5 pieces are longer? I thought I already stated the only differences between the different chassis. And, to sum it up, just use the ones from 0857 (ty Harlowe). They'll accomplish the goal.

katzenjammer84... mega tent-pants, bud. The car is coming out rather gorgeous. How do you like the Cobra, thus far?
