My Civic won’t idle correctly for a few seconds after Start.
My Civic won’t idle correctly for a few seconds after i start it, it almost dies out. After those few seconds it idles fine. This only happens when the engine is warm. It’s a Civic Coupe from 2004. Does anyone have an idea what that could be? (BTW, I’m from Germany and i moved a few months ago to the US so I’m sorry if my English is bad.)

Do you have any check engine lights? You may want to do the normal vaccuum check and IACV inspection/cleaning.

I don’t have a Check engine light. But i noticed that this roblem only occurs when the steering wheel is straight. So maybe it has something to do with the power steering pump?

Very likely. Verify you have enough fluid and that there are no bends or kinks in the hoses.

Hey there, I have the same problem intermittently in my car, the idle goes low at start up then returns to normal only for a second or two. Did you ever figure out or fix your problem? Thanks
