hey recently i been having problems with my 2002 honda lx cruise control for some reason the light does not turn. I been wondering if thiere is a fuse that i can replace under the steering wheel with the rest of the fuses ..if so can you infrom me on the number or fuse amp to replace that? the horn works... the inside lights turn on...so does everything else I was wondering if any of you can help me. thanks...

Does the cruise control still work, even though the light in the cluster doesn't illuminate?
If the answer is yes, remove the gauge cluster and replace the bulb for the cruise control indicator.




The fuse for the cruise control unit is #4 (10 amp) but it also shares the Alternator, ELD unit, EVAP bypass solenoid valve, EVAP canister purge valve, EVAP canister vent shut valve, Primary - secondary and third HO2 sensors, and the VSS. (vehicle speed sensor)

It's unlikely that the fuse is bad.

No it does not work i tried it today and still does acclerates.. I was working at one time but that was when my head lights and oinlights were not working ..which is strange..

Start simple. Pull the switch out and make sure it's still plugged in. Make sure there are no loose or broken wires, and that the connector is secure.


Does the light on the switch itself come on?

Here.. I scribbled this together so you can test the cruise control switch.




- Remove the cruise control switch from the instrument panel, then disconnect the 5-Pin connector from the back of it.

- Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. (see pic above)
- If the continuity is not as specified, replace the illumination bulbs (on the side of the switch) or replace the switch itself.

No it does not.. I have to probably check the fuse or try to get the bulb for it

I am having this same issue... and I also noticed that my air circulation and ac buttons no longer light up when the headlights are on, the rear defrost still does though... and suggestions on that? Could the two issues be related?

Inspect the bulbs, replace if necessary.

hey whats up yall sorry for taking so long my cruise control works but the light does not work which is still good news and yes my lighs d the same thing for some reason i will need to check that out too....

Check the plastic stoppers on the brake pedal and clutch arms. mine fell out and the switch wasn't being pressed when the clutch was all the way up.
