Fuse Problem?
Basically, my break lights work, replaced one cause it was cracked and got new bulbs for them.. The problem is that whenever I push down on the break, the right one goes out but after I release it, it's normal again.. Maybe I've always had this problem and never noticed it cause well, I'm the driver.. But I'm thinkin' it's a fuse problem? Anyone know?
so your saying when you turn on your lights all come on but when you push the brake pedal just the right brake light gos out like as in turns off ? did you check all the bolbs if they all look good then it sounds like a wireing problem to me
if it were a fuse prob u would loose all your brake lights. it sounds like you have either a brake light bulb with a filliment that is intermittantly touching and not touching or you have an intermittant pin fit problem with the lightbulb connector. i would take a volt meter and have someone press the brakes while the light is failing and see if u have 12 volts at the connector or simply wiggle the connector and see if the light goes on and off

huh? that makes no sense. dont confuse people if u dont know about electrical diagnosis.
its a verry simple circuit. it gets power from fuse 7 in the under hood relay box, goes to the brake switch then is spliced into 3 branches (left right and high mount brake lights) then they all go to ground G601.
see very simple. the only possible problem areas are:
1. power wire (from the splice point)
2. the light bulb itself
3. bad pinfit at the light bulb connector
4. ground wire from bulb to G601
the MOST likely fault is the bulb or the pinfit (#2 or #3 in the list above)

Well it's an 01 Civic EX.. I thought it was the bulbs but I just put in two new ones and it's still like that
Also can you get into a little detail with the bad pinfit and how I might be able to fix it if it is wrong?

well you can check the pin fit by using an old male pin from an old similar connector. when you insert and remove the pin there should be a slight drag. if there is a little bit of drag on all the pins its probably not a bad pinfit problem. but i wouldnt start there. id get a volt meter ( little cheap 5 dollar metter from kragen or somthing) and put the red lead on the wht/blk wire and the black lead on the blk wire and have someone step on the brakes and wait for the problem to happen then see if your meter says 12v or 0v. 12v means its a bad connector or lightbulb and 0v means the problem is somewhere else.
