Re: F1 CLUTCH vs EXEDY CLUTCH
^I disagree, I think that the exedy clutch provided a significant increase in clamp force. When I got into the car the first time after it was installed, I started driving it and it jerked the car forward right away. But you get used to it after a bit. I love the exedy, never used the F-1. the clutch is one of my favorite parts I upgraded. I can chirp second gear every time if I wanted to. But then again, I also got the Fidanza 7 pound flywheel, so that probably helps. I love em both.

why are you upgrading your clutch? there's no point of upgrading unless your current clutch can't handle the power. with that said, exedy is a quality brand, i'd pick that over f1.

yea just like jstans84 said my clutch is going out. i just don't really like how stock clutch how it is, just need a little power from the clutch to help out. so i should just go with the exedy clutch then.

Now i just want to ask ya one question. when changing the time belt, do you have to do shot the time or you don't have to. because the motor is different from the older mode. just want to keep this in mind so some day i may have to do it myself then taking to the shop. if anyone can help me out with this question too.

f1 and xtd is like the same thing. and i believe its a lil cheaper the exedy. i had the stage 3 6 puck from xtd and lightweight flywheel and it clamps like a motherfuuker and the pedal is lil bit stiffer then stock and it was my dd boosted at 10 psi.

imo, the civic clutch pedal is overly light. i'd go one step higher to something that'll have a slightly stronger pressure plate.
don't go too far though. my s2000 came w/ an ACT clutch and that thing can get pretty annoying to drive in rush hour traffic. the pedal is super heavy and the clutch grabs very hard. grab point is very small too. i don't know how guys w/ puck clutches survive in slow heavy traffic.

Re: F1 CLUTCH vs EXEDY CLUTCH
I just installed a Action stage 6 6 puck sprung clutch..I love it...go to www.actionclutch.com they have great clutches...But I also did .5mm overbore, 75.5mm wisco piston kit, k1 rods, 9.5 lb fidenza flywheel...But I love my clutch...I would go with like the stage 2 or 3 if you like the action clutch...they will be more than enought...But I plan on making big power...

action is the best clutch.
and no you don't have to put a timing light on the car after you change the timing belt since the car has a cam and crank sensor it times it's self
