Default dash conversion

i have a friend with a 05 dx coupe and he wants to put a 2002-05 si hb dash with the shift on the dash, seeing if it would work and how difficult it would be

It would be quite difficult, seeing as the shifter is mounted in the dash on the Si, and on the floor in his coupe.

Truly a waste of money and energy, to be honest, since the shifter cables (if he doesn't have a K-series), would have to be custom.

he planned on putting in a k20, i see more and more people doing rwd s2000 setups in civics so i think we'll be able to handle this one if the biggest thing to do is re run the shift link

I just bought a type s center console, thats about as much of a conversion ill be doing lol

this one has been done before, u will have a space between the dash and center console unfortunately .

I think the Civic dash looks better than the EP3 or DC5 counterparts personally. The only thing you really need is 03-05 EX gauges and a nicer steering wheel.

Hehe, I agree, theres something about the civic dash thats really low profile, I just prefer the texture of the one on the DC5. I have the steering wheel, and the EX guages...just waiting on the dc5 center console. Should be pretty sweet.
