D17A1 to D17A/A2 wiring

Hi all, the d17a1 in my 2005 civic lx has kicked the bucket and I’ve decided to replace the engine. It’s difficult to find a used d17a1 in decent condition for a decent price. So I’ve opted for a d17a. Because I want vtec to work, could I use the wiring harness from an A2 engine (because obviously the A are found in RHD vehicles) and the ecu from the A? Would the A ecu connect to my chassis harness? I have searched and I couldn’t find the answer I’m looking for! Thanks!

Or what if I just got a d17a2 with the harness and ecu? Would the A2 harness plug directly into my lx chassis harness??

The stock harness and ecu will run the engine fine. The only thing that won't work is the vtec. If you switch to the a2 harness and ecu, vtec will work, but you'll have to have it flashed to communicate with the car. Then you'll have to wire in the downstream O2 sensor.
