Car stalling out

Car stalling out
So today I drove a mile up the road to the store . When I left and got halfway back home the car just stalled out while I was driving. I couldn't give it any gas. So I pulled over and tried to crank it back up and it just stalled out . All of a sudden I got out the car and smelled rotten eggs or sulfer . I ended up getting the car towed to the house. Drove it earlier today with no issues. What should I look into first or anyone had this issue . Everytime I crank it up it starts then just shuts off

Re: Car stalling out
Ive only seen cases of a clogged cat causing the car to run like *** and have no power and misfire, gut it and problem solved if u dont want to buy a new one. if it gets too bad the exhaust cant get out the tail pipe . The only place for it to go is back towards the motor and stall it out

Thats what i would do. Drop it out and fire it up and maybe take it for a test ride .. Try not to over rev it like that tho u could risk damage to ur valves

My car stalled while driving when the timing belt was off a couple of teeth. Was the timing belt recently changed? Improper install?
Any codes with a CEL on?

Timing belt was done about 20 or 30k ago we had to do a head gasket on it . Not sure if it was done improper. And of course I wouldn't get lucky and get a cl code at all. Nothing has shown up. And I was thinking the timing may have jumped but what would cause the smell after it shut off ?

Well it wasn't the cat I disconnected the pipe from the manifold to the cat and still done the same. Cranks up and dies. I check the spark plugs . They had a lil gas smell. And we're black so I changed those with extras I had and still nothing

Sounds like you are running rich.
Any codes with a CEL?
Any work or mods done lately? Try a new gas station? Stock PCM/ECU right?
Check for a clogged air filter, the primary o2 sensor, thermostat being stuck open, engine coolant temp sensor and intake air temp sensor, then throttle position and MAP sensors.

Re: Car stalling out
No codes have been shown at all. I havnt done any mods to the car it's bone stock. Only thing that has been done recently is the oil change . I can't get the car to go anywhere because it just stalls soon as I crank it

It starts but then stalls?
Does it stall as soon as you release the ign. key from the start position?
If so, the problem is the ign. switch. a not so uncommon problem... Honda Service Bulletin - Faulty Ignition Switches. 94

Soon as I crank it it just dies out I'm leaning more towards bad timing ? I know it's not broke off but maybe it slipped a thooth ? I looked inside where you put the oil and the valves were moving .

Re: Car stalling out
Hi I actually just went though something close to this thinking it was my fuel pump going bad.
Turns out after changing that as well as a few other things, it was my air intake it was grounding out my starter.
If you don't have the stock intake remove the intake and see how your car works.
Sorry just re-read everything again and saw your car is stock.
