A/C problems. Help!!!
I have a 2001 Civic and the A/C compressor is not activating. The compressor works fine, because I manipulated it and it started to throw cold air. When I turn my a/c the car doesn't have the negative signal to close the compressor relay circuit. I checked the cable that comes from the ECU and it's ok. The rare detail is that in the a/c controls the a/c switch it's not turning its light when I push it and the light of the recirculation switch it's always on no matter how many times I pushed it. It doesn't disengage. It has two modules. One for every set of 3 buttons. It's seems like the module that controls the a/c switch, recirculation switch and the rear glass defogger switch has a problem, but since it uses two modules I don't want to guess. Each one costs more than $100.00.
If any one has confront this problem or knows how to confirm which module has the problem please let me know.
All the buttons are working just fine. The blower is working, the air direction selector, heater and the rear defogger switch. The only two that seems to be having problems are the a/c switch and the recirculation switch.
Any help would be much appreciated.
