Default wet-dry sand paper and headlights

i was told to buy some wet-dry sand paper and use it on my headlight condensation, and i attempted to but it seemed that it was putting scratches in my headlight so i immediately stopped..
how do you correctly do this?

dude. your not supposed to wetsand your headlight to get rid of condensation?...reason for there being water inside your headlight is prolly cuz of a bad seal. just go out and buy you some silicone epoxy and reseal your headlights. never take any kind of sand paper to your headlights.

somebody on here told me to wet sand dry them, then polish and high speed buff them when i was finished...

for condensation?!?!?! no way...you sand and buff them for the ugly brown **** that burns onto your headlight cover....sanding something and buffing it isnt going to fix a water leak buddy.....silicone epoxy is your new best friend

Well since you started, you might as well finish up. Go from lower grit sandpaper to 2000 grit, then polish.

You CAN sand to remove film that builds up on the outside.
But its smarter to use bluemagic polish or something similar

i agree, and use a drimel tool if you got it, on LOW speed.
