there isnt a paint code for the color of your rims, its not like the paint on your car where theres a code for it, theres not goin to be a code your goin to get to take to a paint shop an say i need some of this paint

not sayin it couldnt be matched by eye, or there are machines that scan parts and can match paint that way

i'm not sure? i gusse it would match %100, it all depends on the way the paint lays on the car or what ever you paint.

Well, if it were 95%, and off by 5%, your chances are still better than finding a color code. So go with their suggestion.

if the color was 95% close, i doubt you would be able to tell the color shade difference, unless it was right next to each other, like if it were your caliper.. if you are doing a valve cover, people wouldn't notice the difference..
