Default Type R lip

Im going to buy a Type R front lip off my buddy who had it on his teg but wants to sell it. He said he got it for $220, and will sell it to me for $150. It is in good condition no scratches. Is this a good deal?? Also I have a white teg and he has a black teg so the lip is black. I was thinking I should leave it black since im doing a white/black thing with my car, U know CF hood gunmetal rims and I think it would match. What U guys think!

i dont think so. I put 97, because thats the year of the lip i was looking for. I dont think 98-01 would be any more expensive.

i think that would be pretty tight.. cf hood, black lip, gm rims (on a 4 door.. oooohhh)

post a pic(s) when you're done~

and if you don't like it you can always repaint later no worries..

Nothin for nothin but having the lip as an OEM part and with just a little lower of a stock stance I avoid all dips, speed bumps and whatever might scratch the lip.

I'd be very careful when someone says that it has NO scratches. I've had 2 R's and am a very careful person "some say ****" and I got a small scratch on my PY's lip just under the passenger side front on the inside. The NBP has no damage yet and I don't plan to but, SH*T happens.

Alls I'm sayin is take a microscope and look under the thing too! Ask any ITR owner about it, scratches on the lip on the underside just happen.

And I have NOTHING against anyone putting on the ITR lip or an Acura body kit. I think it looks good too.

Good luck,

A.
