Timeline of my BG-33P Teal beast! (tons o' pics)
So H-T uses Ebelp suggested I should do a timeline of my car. Most everyone on here probably knows my car so I thought it might be interesting to see what it's gone through over the years. Enjoy the pics.
June 2001, just a week after I bought it:
Over the next 8 months not much changed, except short shifter, clear bumper lights, OEM-replica sidemarkers, spraypainted black metallic emblems, and K&N filter in stock airbox.
It also went into the bodyshop in August 2001 after an attempted break-in (unsuccessful) and also to fix some cosmetic damage after a guy backed out of a parking space into the side of my rear bumper.
Finally lowered in February 2002, H&R Sport springs and Koni Sport shocks
April 2002, Honda emblems and S2000 antenna:
July 2002, after being inspired by Roaring Turtle's gunmetal GS-R wheels on his black EK hatch, I tried it on my own wheels:
Also went wingless w/ ye olde plastic hole plugs
I'm sure everyone remembers this pic hahaha:
November 2002, got sick of the POS clears, put the stocks back in:
December 2002, Visualdynamics HID kit:
March 2003, a speeding ticket, a smashed door, and new 205/50 Yok ES100's all in the same weekend
With the new tires, paint stripped off wheels and about to be repainted:
April 2003, OEM clutch said bye-bye w/ over 130K miles on it, so I installed a Clutchmasters Stage 1 and 7.5 lb. flywheel:
Tried on my friend's Slipstreams, BLECH looks horrid IMHO
Early Summer 2003, black painted projector bezels, didn't look that great in the end but it cut down alot of glare that escaped above the cutoff w/ the HID kit:
Just a joke
Fall 2003:
And then the big one happened! Friday 19 December 2003, my first ever at-fault collision! I rearended a minivan, which bent my hood and fender, broke the pass. side headlight, scuffed the bumper, and bent the radiator support slightly
Luckily a buddy of mine (H-T user B18Cwon) was selling his 2000 GS-R front end to make room for his JDM front end. It even came w/ the ITR lip. With a little massaging of the radiator support, my grandfather and I got the whole front end installed in his driveway.
So then of course I ended up riding 2-tone for the next 7 months until I could finish college and start working full-time to get the money to paint it.
February 2004, fed up w/ the crappy output of the HID kit, I decided to up the bar and do an OEM HID projector retrofit. I saw pics of Tony the Tiger's E-class bi-xenon retro in his 95 GS-R, saw that it looked fairly easy and fit the headlights pretty well, so I did the same w/ my 98+ headlights. I again opted to paint the bezels, but tried to make it look a little more classy this time.
Output was absolutely amazing with these things, so wide, so even, and the bi-xenon function, heh don't even get me started
June 2004, FINALLY got rid of the POS H&R Sport springs and upgraded to Koni-specific Ground Control sleeves and 380/450 F/R ERS springs:
Yeah she sits pretty low, had to make plywood ramps to be able to get my floor jack under the car. Also got another set of ES100's, 195/50 this time.
I scored a 2001 rear bumper (just happened to also be black) and a set of ITR side mirrors, which completed my 98+ conversion, and in July I finally had the funds and my buddy (in the pic w/ his helper Ripple ) had the time to paint my car.
Oh so buttery smooth

Then I finally got some night pics that were worth something, using my dad's 5MP Nikon:
And then, FINALLY, November 2004, 3.5 years after buying the car, I got new wheels for it!
That's all for now, hope you enjoyed my walk down memory lane.

Re: Timeline of my BG-33P Teal beast! (BauleyCivic)
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, under the hood still looks 100% bone stock besides the blue NGK wires (K&N is in the stock airbox). I don't care much about doing engine mods, just mostly suspension stuff, or cheap cosmetic mods that look good.
Oh and at the start of the timeline the car had 90K miles. Currently it was 184K miles.

Re: (Dforce)
That was one of the best timeline's I've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful car all the way around. The subtle mods are just awesome, everything flows really well.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
I knew I did the right thing by selling my hand-me-down 89 Camry:
and buying this GS-R which was being sold by our neighbors 3 houses down (family of 4 w/ 5th on the way, it was the wife's car before she met her husband).

Re: (Sam P 27)
Yes the skirts are getting painted soon, along with other stuff including my rear bumper, got rearended tuesday night by an uninsured Hispanic kid w/ no license... it only cracked and flaked off some of the paint.
