The reason for this post is not: Hey-- should they have copied the M7s?
Since a mod's not saying stick to the topic, I will.
I think you all should STAY ON TOPIC.

Re: (usdm97DC4)
Other than the Mugen logo on the spoke and the center cap, I say it looks pretty close to the M7's, I want to pick up a set of these for my teg 15" or 16" The 15" ones would be better for slamming and tucking the wheels. True about that its not as shiny or not manufactured as great as the real Mugen M7s but still a great looking wheel.

Obviously, by duplicating wheel designs they save money and can thus bring a cheaper alternative to the market.

i'd like to see a real set of rota replicas. to compare the machine finish.
or does anyone even know if the rotas come out with the same machine finish?

Cause they are slightly bent they paid more than the price of their car for a set of wheels and now rota releases something similar for 400-500 a set. From a distance they will be mistaken for the M7, but up close it will be obvious that they arent the real deal.
<--Still doesnt get why genuine wheel owners hate rotas. They get their name brand, we get the look we want without shelling out $2k, everyone wins

Thats besides the point IMO. Would you buy your GF a fake louis vuitton purse or would you buy yourself a fake pair of dunks and sport them? To each his own I guess but if i dont have the money to get the real **** im certainly not wasting it on some replicas. Rota makes affodable lightweight wheels but I think they could do it and be original with their designs at the same time. I have never bashed rota before but it seems a bit out of hand with these M7's so dont mind if i throw in my 2cents. Blah blah flame away
